October is always a magical time of year for a wedding, and Claire and Connor’s stunning celebration at Boclair House certainly lived up to that magic. The day began with Claire and her bridesmaids preparing at Claire’s childhood home. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and laughter, as Bella Rouge Artistry worked their magic on hair and makeup, making everyone look absolutely stunning. Claire was radiant, and as she prepared to step into her wedding gown, the excitement was palpable.
One particularly touching moment occurred when Claire showed me her grandmother’s veil, which she planned to wear on her wedding day. It was a truly special piece, adding a deep sense of family and history to the occasion. But the emotions didn’t stop there—Claire had also received a heartfelt letter from her grandmother, which added a personal touch that made the day even more meaningful.
A Special Surprise from Jedward
As if the day wasn’t already full of surprises, Claire’s Maid of Honour and cousin Carly had one more trick up her sleeve. To everyone’s delight, Claire received a video message from none other than Jedward! The iconic duo sent their best wishes, and it was such a fun, unexpected addition that added even more joy to an already emotional morning.
Arriving at Boclair House: A Warm Welcome from Izzy
When we arrived at the venue, we were welcomed by none other than the couple’s adorable Hungarian Vizsla, Izzy. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love dogs, and having Izzy be part of the wedding was such a sweet touch. She made her entrance as the perfect ring bearer, stealing the show with her charm.
A Ceremony Full of Love, Laughter, and Sentiment
The ceremony itself was beautifully emotional, thanks to the fantastic Darren Handy, who conducted the ceremony with the perfect mix of sentiment and humor. His words captured the essence of Claire and Connor’s love, bringing everyone to tears and laughter in equal measure. And let’s not forget Izzy, who had her big moment walking down the aisle, looking as cute as can be with the rings.
Despite a bit of rain, which is always a bit of a challenge on a wedding day, we found a lovely spot indoors for some family portraits. The oval at the top of the staircase in Boclair House provided a beautiful backdrop, and the intimate setting made for some truly special shots.
Outdoor Photos After the Rain
Once the rain cleared, we were able to head outside and take full advantage of the gorgeous surroundings at Boclair House. The gardens were in full bloom with autumn colors, and the timing was perfect for some fantastic outdoor images. The couple was so easygoing and up for anything, which made capturing those precious moments even more enjoyable.
One of the highlights was getting some stunning drone shots, which added an extra dimension to the wedding video. The aerial views of the venue, combined with Claire and Connor’s love and joy, created a cinematic feel that truly captured the beauty of the day.
Sunset, Fairy Lights, and Smoke Bomb Magic
As the night began to fall, we ventured back outside after dinner for a few more photos. The pagoda was beautifully lit with fairy lights, adding a soft, romantic glow to the scene. The sunset colors and glowing lights set the stage for one of my favorite shots of the day.
To add a touch of drama, we used an orange smoke bomb—perfectly in line with Claire’s love for autumnal colors. The result was nothing short of magical. Claire’s stunning bouquet by Marlene’s Flowers perfectly complemented the autumn hues, and the couple looked as if they’d stepped straight out of a fall fairytale.
